Premise:
Spock introduces Saavik to ice cream for the first time. Using the Sarek/Amanda Yahoo group idea that cinnamon is an aphrodisiac for Vulcans...and the ice cream is cinnomon flavored. Unfortunately, Saavik's Romulan half is allergic and she requires medical assistance. How does Spock explain how he chose the flavor of the ice cream...or does he?

Kirk realizes they will need a lot more money to accomplish their mission, so he sends Spock and Saavik into 20th century San Francisco and orders them to come back in 12 hours or less with as much money as possible.
